ITDC India ePress/ITDC News Madhya Pradesh Desk Bhopal: Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman said that entrepreneurship, self-employment is the basic character of India. It is in the DNA of this country. Small and medium industries have contributed to India's strong economic system. He said that the Central Government has made a policy for free market, free economy and free competition as per the ideas of Shri Dattopant Thengadi.

Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman was delivering a lecture on the topic 'India's economic potential in the global scenario of the 21st century' in the 6th Dattopant Thengadi Memorial National Lecture-2022 by Dattopant Thengadi Research Institute at Rabindra Bhavan today. Recalling the ideological contribution of Shri Thengadi, the Finance Minister said that he was an organization architect. At that time, without the encouragement of the government, he built many institutions on the ideological plane. Organized organizations in the opposite stream of socialist and communist ideology.

The foundation which he had laid 30-40 years ago, has become a banyan tree today. In the year 1985, China invited the Indian Trade Union because it is the largest organization of workers. He said that when India completes 100 years of independence, our mindset should also change at that time. Remember the legacy and stand up with confidence to build a self-reliant India. While making policies, keep in mind the Indian knowledge tradition as this is our strength.

The above information was given by the Public Relations Department of the institute through a press release.
