Recently, Dr. Nilesh Srivastava, Department of Surgical Oncology, AIIMS Bhopal participated in GISMO-2024 held in Hyderabad.
The event focused on advancing minimally invasive surgical oncology procedures, especially laparoscopic techniques for cancer surgery.
The training conducted at Asian Institute of Gastroenterology (AIG), Hyderabad provided practical exercises with state-of-the-art auto reload and automatic stapler used in various upper gastrointestinal tract (GIT) and lower GIT laparoscopic procedures.
Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, Prof. Ajay Singh appreciated the efforts of the department for the progress that facilitates speedy recovery of patients after surgery. He highlighted the importance of minimally invasive surgery in transforming cancer care and its role in accelerating recovery time for patients undergoing extensive oncological procedures.
