Two-day skill upgradation workshop begins at University of Journalism

CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress / Bhopal: A skill upgradation workshop was organized for serving journalists at Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication.

The two-day workshop was inaugurated by University Registrar Avinash Bajpai and President, State Press Club Indore Praveen Kumar Khariwal. On the occasion of the inauguration of the workshop organized at Swami Vivekananda Auditorium, Makhanpuram Bishankhedi, Registrar Avinash Bajpai gave important information related to all the departments and journalism of the university.

He said that research work is also done in print, electronic media, digital media, computer as well as media in the university. State Press Club President Praveen Kumar Khariwal talked about past and present era journalism. He said that today journalists need to upgrade themselves. 

Khariwal told the journalists who came to the workshop that they should learn a lot from this two-day workshop. He said that if journalists think that they know everything, then it is not true. "We are always learning.

On the first day, four technical sessions were held, in which Prabhatesh Tripathi on the topic Social Media: Journalistic Approach, Dean Academic P. Sasikala on the topic Fax Checking: News and Stories, Ashish Sahu on the topic AI for Journalist, and Director Radio Karamveer Ashish Joshi on the topic Opportunities in Community Radio expressed their views. The program was conducted by In-charge Director Training Jaya Surjani.
