ITDC INIDA EPRESS/ ITDC NEWS: The inauguration ceremony of the Post Graduate Program for the session 2023-25 ​​began at the Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal. In this inauguration ceremony, Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management (PGDFM) and Post Graduate Diploma in Sustainability Management (PGDSM) from 23 parts of the country (States and Union Territories) About 160 selected students were present in the programmes.

As the chief guest on the occasion of the inauguration ceremony, Vice Chancellor of NLIU Bhopal S. Surya Prakash was present. Same IIFM alumnus R. Srinivasan, Prof.-Strategy, IIM, Bengaluru; The event was graced by Nikesh Sinha, MD & CEO, Ashwa Finance and Vineet Rai, Founder, Aavishkar Group as the guests of honour.

On the occasion of PGP inauguration ceremony, chief guest Surya Prakash gave a lecture on the need of law to the students. “The students of IIFM are the guardians of the environment and the builders of a green and sustainable future,” he added. He also highlighted important aspects like right to green and safe environment and fundamental right to cleanliness.

On this occasion, Director of Indian Institute of Forest Management K. Ravichandran congratulated the students of batch 2023-25 ​​on starting their new academic journey. "Alumni of PGDFM and PGDSM programs at IIFM contribute in various sectors from corporate to banking, FMCG to manufacturing industries," he added.

Also discussing about the "Mission Life" initiative of the Government of India, he said that the institute is also doing various activities under the "Mission Life" as per the directions of the government with an aim to deal with the global problems.

In this episode, sports activities were also organized by the institute, in which basketball and volleyball matches were played by the students.

Under this programme, an exposure visit to Panchmarhi Biosphere Reserve and PRADAN (Professional Assistants for Development Action), a civil society organization working since 1983 in the field of livelihood, food security and natural resource management, will also be conducted for the students.
