ITDC INDIA EPRESS/ITDC NEWS R The Indian shooting duo of Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary crashed out of the second qualifiers in the 10m air pistol mixed team event, failing to qualify for the finals. They started on a very encouraging note, topping the first stage of qualifiers with a score of 582 out of 600; Chaudhary was scintillating, recording an excellent 296, including a perfect 100, while Bhaker managed 286.

In the second qualifier stage, they scored 380, finishing seventh in qualifiers. Bhaker shot a poor 92 in her first series to go with a 94 in the second, with four 8s making the task even more difficult. Chaudhary shot 96 in the first series, and a strong 98 in his second series.

Abhishek Verma and Yashaswini Singh Deswal, in the same event, crashed out of the first stage qualifiers, having finished in 17th place.

Next, Divyansh Singh Panwar and Elavenil Valarivan will represent India in the 10m mixed rifle team event with Deepak Kumar and Anjum Moudgil being the other team. The 10m mixed rifle event will see participation from 29 pairs with the biggest challenge expected to come from Hungary, Russia, USA, China and Germany.
