ITDC INDIA EPRESS/ITDC NEWS Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan reviewed the Covid-19 control measures taken in Satna, Sidhi and Singrauli districts of the division from Rewa NIC Center. He sought information about the Corona infection control from the collectors of the respective districts and received suggestions from members of the Crisis Management committee, public representatives etc.

In his address Chief Minister Shri Chouhan told to make an action plan to increase ICU beds besides oxygen-rich beds in Sidhi, Satna and Singrauli district hospitals and rural health centers so that at the time of disaster the Corona infected can be ensured adequate treatment at the nearby health centers. He said that the work of breaking the chain of Ccorona infection should be done by activating the Crisis Management Committee of rural areas. Villagers should follow self-impose Corona curfew, so that the pandemic can end. The Chief Minister said that the people of Vindhya region will support the administration in the fight against Corona infection with commitment, only then can we can reach below 5 percent in positivity rate in the month of May and be successful in eradicating Corona.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the condition of Corona infection has improved in the districts of the division and positivity rate has also come down. What is required is that the Corona curfew should be strictly followed with people’s cooperation. Under the Kill Corona campaign, treatment kits should be distributed in every house to patients identified with cold and cough in villages. Regular information about proper care and health of patients living in home isolation should be sought. He also gave instructions to speed up the vaccination work. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan spoke about setting up infant ICUs in the districts so that children with the infection can be treated better.

Instructions to increase ICU beds

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan gave instructions to the concerned collectors to chalk out an action plan to establish a total of 50 additional ICU beds including 20 additional ICU beds in Satna district hospital, 10 ICU beds in Sidhi and 30 in Singrauli in the first phase. He sought detailed information about the availability of oxygen beds and Covid Care Centers in the districts. Shri Chouhan expected that all the public representatives and members of the Crisis Committee should actively work to break the chain of corona infection and ensure timely treatment to the infected.

Satna MP Shri Ganesh Singh suggested training of medical staff for ventilator operation in Satna district hospital, availability of adequate medicines in rural areas and establishment of hospital in under-construction medical college. Collector Satna Shri Ajay Katesaria said that the positivity rate in the district has come down to 10 percent. All measures of Corona control are being ensured. During a review of Sidhi district, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan sought detailed information about the positivity rate and Kill Corona Campaign from Collector Shri Ravindra Kumar Chaudhary. He was told that the positivity rate in the district has come down to 17 percent. MLA Shri Kedar Shukla gave the suggestion to supply 300 additional oxygen cylinders. MLA Shri Sharadendu Tiwari gave the suggestion to set up an oxygen separation plant in Sidhi district hospital campus, increase ICU beds and seek approval for purchase thermometer and oximeter from MLA fund. Singrauli Collector Shri Rajeev Ranjan Meena informed that the positivity rate is at 12 percent. Quarantine centers have been set up in rural areas. Meanwhil, MLAs Ramlallu Vaishya and Ramcharit Verma suggested providing additional Remdesivir injections along with ensuring availability of oxygen. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan assured that all resources will be made available for treatment of Corona by the government on priority basis. With everyone’s cooperation of all, we will once again start leading a normal life after Corona ends.

Among those present in the Rewa NIC were Backward and Minority Welfare State Minister and Minister in charge appointed for Corona control of the district, Shri Ramkhelavan Patel, Commissioner Shri Anil Suchari, IG Shri Umesh Joga, Collector Rewa Dr. Ilaiyaraja T., Superintendent of Police Shri Rakesh Kumar Singh, Dean Medical College Dr. Manoj Indurkar, Additional Collector Sushri Ila Tiwari, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Shri Mrinal Meena and CEO Zila Panchayat Shri Swapnil Wankhede.
