Several feared trapped as stepwell collapses at temple in Indore

Rescue operations are ongoing

ITDC INDIA EPRESS/ ITDC NEWS : In a major accident, the roof of an ancient large well situated in a temple collapsed on Thursday during the Ram Navami festival. At least 25 people are feared to have fallen inside.

According to officials, rescue operations have been launched to save those trapped.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted that “Extremely pained by the mishap in Indore. Spoke to CM @ChouhanShivraj Ji and took an update on the situation. The State Government is spearheading rescue and relief work at a quick pace. My prayers with all those affected and their families.”
