ITDC INDIA EPRESS/ ITDC NEWS  Bhopal organized a one day Hindi workshop on E-waste management, in which 22 participants from various Central Government organizations participated. NITTTR Bhopal Director Dr. C.C. Tripathi encouraged the participants from various Central Government organizations to contribute for the betterment of the society through joint efforts. He said that instead of keeping your learning limited to yourself, try to make the society aware.

Contributing to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the idea of making Zero Waste Campus was seen being implemented on the ground. Dr. C.C. Tripathi exhorted the participants to work towards the promotion of Hindi language. He said that we should also try to learn other regional languages. Dr. P.K. Purohit said that e-waste is emerging as a major threat to our environment, so it is very important to recycle it scientifically.

Dr. Hussain Jeevakhan said that if all of us become aware of e-waste, then we can definitely get rid of the problem of e-waste in future. The workshop sensitized the participants about the types and composition of e-waste as well as the hazardous and non-hazardous materials found in e-waste. The three R's for electronic-waste management- Reduce, Reuse and Recycle were also discussed. Mr. Imtiaz Ali contributed in a session as an expert. The program was conducted by Mrs. Shobha Lekhwani.
